Fee and Cost Schedule

Administrative Costs

1.1 Registration Fee (as per Art. 4.2 of the Rules) CHF 3'000.--
The non-refundable registration fee compensates the Chamber Secretariat's activities as per para. 2.2 of the Organizational Regulations.


1.2 Administrative Services of the Chamber Secretariat

Compensation for administrative services of the Chamber Secretariat as per para. 2.3 of the Organizational Regulations: CHF 110.-- / hour

Cash expenditures shall be invoiced separately at direct costs.

The compensation of the Chamber Secretariat according to this paragraph 1.2 shall become due with the Arbitral Award or otherwise with any other form of termination of the proceedings and shall be part of the costs of the proceedings.

Fees and Costs of the Arbitral Tribunal

2.1 Compensation of the Arbitrator(s)

The compensation of the arbitrators shall amount to:

- daily allowance for deliberations or conferences: CHF 1'600 - 5'000
- other expenditures of time for the arbitration proceedings: CHF 250 - 600.-- / hour

The applicable daily allowance and the applicable hourly fee shall be determined by the Arbitral Tribunal, principally in the Constituting Order, whereby the rate applicable in each case shall be determined in accordance with the circumstances, including the values in dispute, the complexity of the case and the necessity of particular topical expertise of the arbitrators for the tasks.

Any other remuneration agreement between the Parties and the arbitrator(s) - in particular if a secretary has been appointed - shall be permitted and, if practical, shall be recorded in the Constituting Order.


2.2 Cash Expenditures of the Arbitrator(s)

Cash expenditures of the arbitrator(s) in connection with the arbitration proceedings, in particular for traveling (Business-Class), accommodation, catering, telecommunication, room rent, etc., shall be invoiced at direct costs.

Other Provisions

3.1 Advances against costs as per Art. 7 of the Rules shall be invested at interest under the administration of the Chamber Secretariat, insofar as possible and reasonable, on a separate account for the respective arbitration proceedings.

3.2 Where appropriate, value added taxes shall be taken into account.

3.3 The Arbitral Tribunal shall be entitled to make appropriate advance payments during the proceedings to cover the accrued costs and compensations.

3.4 This Fee and Cost Schedule may be amended by the Board of Directors of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce at any time and with immediate effect.
