Florida Chapter Forms Partnership with Miami Performing Arts Center
The Florida Chapter of the SACC has formed a partnership with the Miami
Performing Arts Center in an effort to attract Swiss sponsorship for the
newly-established Center's theatre complex in downtown Miami. “Miami is
proving to be an important city not only with respect to business but in the
arts as well,” said Roman Meyerhans of Lehman Brothers in Miami. “The success of
Art Basel Miami Beach the past three years has allowed many Swiss companies to
be better recognized in the international business community, so we see our
efforts working with the Miami Performing Arts Center as a unique opportunity
for more Swiss companies to be active in this market.”
Miami Performing Arts Center
Designed by world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli, the Miami Performing Arts
Center will be home for its four resident companies – Concert Association of
Florida, Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, and New World Symphony – and
will include the 2,400-seat Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House and the
2,200-seat Carnival Symphony Hall. With the first world-class performance
facilities in Miami, the Center offers to its audiences the best that the world
has to offer in theater, music and dance.
