Travel offers on the Internet are growing fast. New sites open every week. This does not mean however that the quality of the offers improve. In fact, what often looks very promising at first glance ends in? and outputs and complicated navigation.

• In order to get the same information any Travel agent can retrieve through his systems, you must have access to the same inventory. The only systems that provide these data are the powerful Global Distribution Systems of the Travel Industry, such as Apollo, Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre or Worldspan.
• This list therefore is divided into Internet sites that feature the complete offer, i.e. flights of all important Airlines, Car Rental companies and popular Hotel? Chains. Then you find of course all those providers with a limited offer to their own inventory only.
• There are four popular sites in America which offer full integration with one or more Global Distribution Systems. Those are ITIN (Inter net Travel Network), Travellocity, Preview Travel and Expedia. In addition there are some sites that link to above providers. As of this date we have not found an European site that offers the same standards and convenience.
• If you visit a site in America we recommend you use the morning hours. The feedback across the Atlantic is very fast and efficient at this time of the day and you save yourselves tedious sessions in front of your computer.
• This list is in no way complete. As new Operators and Service providers will hook up on the World Wide Web there will be new aspects to look at in the very near future.
